Requirement for a straight pipe runs before/after CSV?
« on: July 01, 2016, 11:08:53 PM »
Getting ready to install a CSV1A and I was wondering if there is any requirement for straight piping before and/or after the valve before going into the pressure tank?   Can I just thread a 90 Elbow directly onto the CSV1A input side or should there be a length of straight piping to reduce turbulence and pressure variations?   Likewise for the exit side going into the pressure tank?

Thanks

There is no straight pipe requirement.  An elbow on either or both ends is fine.
