Red jacket jet pump
« on: December 15, 2019, 07:53:55 AM »
My well pump is a red jacket jet pump with a built in pressure switch on the pump. I have a Simmer Vt36-04 water tank. Well depth is 48 feet with a 7 gallon per minute recovery. My question is regarding the pressure switch placement is, when using a CSV does it matter pressure switch is on the pump and taking it’s pressure reading off the impeller housing or should it be located after the CSV. Thanks

Yes the pressure switch has to plumbed or connected after the CSV.  You can either extend the tube from the existing pressure switch or install a new pressure switch on or after the CSV1A and wire around the existing switch.
