I am going to be replacing a double drop (deep well) jet pump and a 36 gallon pressure tank in the near future. I want to use a Goulds J5 pump (the closest thing to the Goulds pump now in use) and I want to replace the pressure tank with a PK1A to save space, and hopefully stabalize water pressure in the house. My question is, can I forego the AV22 kit the Goulds J5 pump says is required since the PK1A already has a pressure control valve?
"•Deep well systems require a pressure control valve.
?NOTE: YOU MUST HAVE A JDW OR AV22 KIT TO MAKE THE PRESSURE SWITCH CONNECTION.
•Pressure tank required on all systems."
Thanks for any advice!

Yes you still need the back pressure valve for a two pipe jet pump. The CSV controls the output of the pump, and the back pressure valves sends enough water to the ejector to make the two pipe jet work.
