Title: CSV125-1 pressure too high?
Post by: tvoss265 on July 13, 2017, 10:54:40 AM
I just installed a 60psi fixed csv125-1 and was testing it for the first time.  The pressure at the tank was high, reading 69psi. Is that normal? The test flow was from a garden hose, I'm sure was at least 5gpm.

The CSV12560-1 will regulate a little high at low flows up to 9 GPM.  But is should only be 64-65 PSI, not 69.  But I trust the CSV more than I trust pressure gauges.  I'll bet your pressure gauge does not go to zero when the pump is off and the tank is empty.  I am guessing the gauge will only go down to about 5 PSI, which means it is reading 5 PSI higher than the actual pressure.  Give this a try or replace the gauge and let me know.

You are right. The gauge does not go back to 0. I tried it with two garden hoses and varied the flow. I think it is fine.

Thanks
