Title: CSV1a install - PRV necessecary?
Post by: lisledude on November 23, 2012, 11:36:58 AM
I was reading the installation guide and it references a pressure release valve.   I don't have an easy place to drain it to.   What would happen if I just plug up that opening and install as normal from there?   My current system doesn't have a PRV in the system.   I have a large tank that I plan on re-using.

The other question I have is : Is it ok to have the red portion(part with adjuster on it) of the CSV horizontal instead of pointing to the sky?

Thanks for any help

The CSV1A can be mounted in any direction.  A pressure relief is just for safety.  It is nice to have but it will work without one.
