Title: pool pumps
Post by: Joyt on November 17, 2016, 03:30:00 AM
Hello! I decided to build a swimming pool behind the house. I am collecting the information about its construction and maintenance now.

It's time to choose the pump and I think about the model I need to buy. I stopped  at these two Pentair 340039 and Hayward
SP2610X15.

Thank you in advance for any help ;)

Those both look good to me.  That Hayward is really cheap.  Could replace it 3 times for what the Pentair cost.  But I have had one of those Pentair pumps like that for 30 years.  I did have to replace the motor bearings once in all that time.  There is no way you would ever get a variable speed type pump to last that long.

I suggest you Pentair brand. It's more expensive than Hayward, but definitely is the best.
