Title: The right setup?
Post by: JoeC on June 18, 2019, 03:02:24 PM
Our house is at the end of the dead end road and up a 180 foot driveway with an elevation of about 20 feet above the street level.  We're on town water and get 60psi with nothing running but when the irrigation system kicks in, it drops to 20psi.  My landscaper says I need more pressure for the system to work properly and recommended a booster pump but I'd really like some independent advice given my lack of knowledge.  Any recommendations on booster pump options and which CSV setup would work?  Apologies if this is an ignorant question and thank you for all the great information.

If the pressure is already dropping to 20 when the sprinklers are on, drawing more out of it with a booster pump can make the incoming like go to a negative pressure, which isn't good.  You may need to fill a cistern tank with the incoming water, and use a booster out of the cistern.
