Title: Pressure tank line distance?
Post by: Marcomjl on November 02, 2021, 08:44:44 PM
Installing a CSV1-A and using it’s ports instead of a well tee.  To keep everything spaced out and orderly the line from the CSV to the pressure tank would be 9’.  I don’t see why I can’t???  Does it have to be closer?

Keeping the pressure switch and tank close to each other is important.  9" should be close enough.

Ok, just to clarify you understood  9” as 9’/ 9 feet correct?

Nine feet is too far for the pressure switch to be from the pressure tank.  Didn't have on my cheaters.  Lol!  You can put another tee just before the tank and install the pressure switch there.  The pressure switch AND pressure tank must be together but can be a long way from the CSV1A.valve.

Ahh very good thank you.

Can the pressure relief stay with the csv1?

Update question, if I utilize the 3/4” bottom port for my well tank will it be bottle necked being a 3/4” line instead of the 1” main line?

Yes the 3/4 port is fine going to the pressure tank.
