Can I use a Cycle Stop Valve on a pump with a Diesel or Gas Powered engine?

As long as the pump has a centrifugal impeller and the power required decreases as the flow decreases, it does not matter what powers the pump.  A CSv will still vary the output of the pump to match the usage.  You must have a governor on this kind of engine so when the flow is reduced and the load on the motor is reduced, the governor will keep the engine from increasing in speed.
