Pumps, Wells, Tanks, Controls / Pump recommendation for a new well in San Diego
« on: January 29, 2014, 04:20:47 PM »
I drilled a well yesterday that will be used to irrigate landscaping around my 2 acre home. The well is producing 15 ga/min @ 110 ft, 20 ga/min @ 135 ft, 10 ga/min @ 300 ft, and 10 ga/min @ 510 ft. We stopped drilling at 610 ft. So, the total well output is 60 ga/min.
The irrigation system requires between 1 ga/min for zones on drip irrigation and 20 ga/min for zones with popup spray heads. Currently, I'm running the system on city water with a pressure of 100 psi, but I think the irrigation system will operate fine with lower pressure.
Can you recommend a pump, constant pressure valve, and tank? What is the max pressure I can safely get out of a pumping system? Lastly, are there any installers in the San Diego area that are familiar with the Cycle Stop products?
Thanks!
