Frequently Asked Questions / Pressure switch set up

I do have a question about the pressure switch wiring. I've noticed in the reviews that some most are using two pressure switches and at least one is just using the switch on the valve.

Wouldn't the two switch set up fight each other or is the pump switch just bypassed?

If I just take the switch off the pump what size (ga) wire should be used to go from the valve switch to the pump?

Frequently Asked Questions / What size pump do I really need?

I just ordered the PK1A kit for our well. Our pressure tank has given up the ghost. We have a Gould 1/2 HP well pump that was here when we bought the house in 1991 and it still works good.

I'm thinking about just getting a new pump and wanted to know if I should go with a 3/4 HP pump. I can get a 1/2 HP that will go to 60 PSI.

We live in a stilt house so we would like a little more water pressure if we can get it upstairs.
