Just like in the title...

Do you have any sellers in Canada? or is your website the best place to buy?

Pumps, Wells, Tanks, Controls / Re: Help with current setup (no CSV)

I will have to try and see. Unfortunately, the well was drilled in 1997 or so and the log doesn't show the static level. I don't even know how far down the well the pump is.

I would really like to install a csv, but money is a problem for now. Thank you very much for your advice.

Pumps, Wells, Tanks, Controls / Help with current setup (no CSV)
« on: January 04, 2014, 01:33:41 PM »
Good day. I'm a little bit new to all this. I grew up with a well, but we moved to the city long before I could grasp anything. Low and behold, I bought a house in the country.

Here is all that I know about my setup:

-From the driller's log my well is 165ft deep
-The control box off the wall is rated for a 1/2 hp pump.
-I have adjusted the pressure switch to it's rated 30/50 psi. It was at 26/50.
-I have checked the precharge in the 42gal pressure tank. It's right at 28psi.

Now here is what I'm wondering. When I have the water on in the bathtub, it takes the pump 40 seconds to fill the pressure tank. To me, that sounds pretty quick. I'd like for my pump to take longer. Short of buying a CSV (which I will do that when the pump dies), how do lengthen the time it takes to fill the pressure tank? Do I just increase the pressure to 40/60?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
