Hello, I am the new owner of a csv150 and a 4.8 gallon tank. I am trying to install it onto a sta rite pump. My question is that the pump is equipped with an external automatic pressure regulator and I am wondering if I should eliminate it or put the csv in after it. According to the directions on the csv, it should be installed before any other gizmos like the pressure tank, or tees, etc., and it seems like the csv would replace the function of it anyway. What's the answer?

You still need the pressure switch.  You can leave it attached to the motor as is.  You just need to add some length to the sensing line and attach it after the CSV.  Plug the hole in the pump case where the sensing line came out of.  Or you can use an additional pressure switch mounted after the CSV, and just bypass the switch on the side of the motor and go straight to the wires.

Yes, do I have this right? I do not need the external pressure regulator. You said I just need to plug the motor where the pressure sensor line comes from, but just to be g. I will just construct a manifold with a direct line from the pump (instead of the regulator) to the csv, then a pressure switch outlet and an outlet for the pressure guage, then a Tee for the pressure tank, then out to the main line. I think I get it. Thanks a lot! Will have it up and running today!

Well I put the system together today, and guess what? It works just as described! Cool, plus as an added bonus, since the pump setup is located inside a shed (we built the shed around it so as to help in the winter freeze), we have gained around 4 sq. feet of usable space that the old tank used to take up!
