newly installed CSV question
« on: June 16, 2016, 08:06:19 AM »
Just installed csv1a on my hydropneumatic system. (60 gal galvanized tank, 1hp Goulds 10ls10 submersible with Franklin motor set at 157 feet, 95 ft water table, 32psi cut on/52psi cut off, CSV set to 40psi.). The pressure on inlet of CSV varies from 80 to 133psi, depending in tank pressure.  Is there any concerns for damage to this particular pump as far as impeller damage, cavitations?  The CSV works perfectly, but I don't want to damage the pump.  I've read some particular pumps don't work well with csv.

Goulds is still a good pump, it will work fine.  The backpressure from 80 to 130 is actually good for the pump, as that is what the CSV does to keep the pump from cycling, which is not good for the pump.
