Submersible Well System Recommendations
« on: December 20, 2021, 10:01:47 AM »
Hello! I am looking for pump and csv recommendations for my well. In 1972 it was rated at 22gpm I have measured it at 15gpm after 2 hours of continuous running. My well is roughly 75' deep in sandstone. Right now I have a hallmark 110v hanging on 1-1/4" 250psi polypipe at 65ish ft with nothing else attached just an open pipe. My static water level with my pump off is roughly 26'. My yet to be constructed house sits just under 200ft away from the pump house. I would like to go with a 220v pump and I would like pressure round 60-65psi in the house.

A pump installer recommended a Goudfos 10sqe240. I'm not sure about the sqe.

Thanks in advance for any recommendations.

Yeah the SQE is one of those variable speed pumps that are expensive and don't last very long.  Any 10 GPM, 1/2 or 3/4 HP pump will do.  I like the Grundfos 10S05-9 or the Goulds 10GS05, but they are not much better than a 10 GPM, 1/2 HP you can find at TC or HD.
