pressure switch
« on: June 22, 2026, 02:05:43 PM »
Hi,
I have groundfos submersible pump 1.5HP (185-200 feet) well and [PK125 PSIDE-KICK Pressure Tank Kit - 4.5 gallon / 60 psi pk125-pside-kick-kit with CSV1A CYCLE STOP VALVE. pressure switch used to click on cut-on and cut-off but now I do not heat clicks anymore.
Pump is working, but I am having pump company come to test well and pump as pressure is not going over 70 PSI and and it drops now bellow 40 PSI when water in use.
I checked everything, cleaned up pressure switch water pipe, it was clogged with sediment which we have in well and i also checked a tank which is fine.
CSV1A is setup originally 70PSI. pressure switch was setup to 55/80 PSI and tank is 55PSI.
I am wondering if pressure switch is working correctly, it is definitely working but like I said I do not hear click when the pressure goes bellow cut-on. Pump is working but water coming is not a high pressure as before which might be a pump or well issue.
Should I order a new pressure switch and if yes which one is recommended, you have several listed.
We use 10 to 13 GPM flow rate in house
This setup worked for years without a glitch...\
Regards,

Cary Austin

Sorry for your problem. If it gets to 80 and doesn't shut off you need a new pressure switch. If it stays at 70 you might have a leak or worn pump.
