I have a double-wide mobile home that I have remodeled completely. It is now time to get water to the house. Our home is situated on my daughter's property so the well supplies both our new home and their home. What I have now is a supply line coming from the well to a tee. One side of the tee leads to my 2500gal storage tank while the other side of the tee leads through a check valve uphill to their storage tank. My problem is in building the pump system from my storage tank and hooking it up to the water supply line to our home. All lines are installed and buried. We are just missing the system and float mechanism. I want to go with a CSV system. Our local water well pump company wants me to install an 85gal pressure tank. Since this recommendation is not something I agree with, I'm choosing to do the install myself. I am building a pump house for the system which also needs to include a water softener since our water is quite hard here. My issue is that I do not know the necessary items I need, what size pump I need and in what order I install these items. I have done some research on this but I'm confused and I do not want to make costly mistakes in buying things that may be the wrong size...etc. I am fully capable of building this system but need some clarity on how it all goes together. I have already buried lines to provide water for outdoor water spigots as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
