Hi Cary,

Thanks for the reply. I'll have to think about what I want to do. Have you heard of anyone having problems putting the CSV in the well and having it break off or unscrew from the pump starting torque? I probably won't have much more than 100 pounds hanging on it.

Hi there!

New guy with my first question. I looked around online for a few hours but couldn't find an answer.

I am currently building my well system for a new house. My pitless adapter will be at 30 inches depth, frost depth here in the Ca high desert. I would like to put a CSV at the outlet of the pitless, rather than hanging it inside the well. Is there a CSV that can be buried directly in the dirt or will it need to be inside some sort of a box? I like the idea of being able to access it easily and dislike having anything extra in the well that could break/unscrew/fail etc.

Thanks in advance for any advice, and thank you for providing this forum so beginners like me can potentially figure things out! :o
