My parents are retiring to the cabin and it’s time to update the well. The cabin will we I occupied from late spring to early fall. The current set up is a 1 1/4 galvanized pipe with a point approx 16’ down. I have a 17 yr old craftsman 1/2 hp shallow well jet pump. It’s on top of a 30/50 20 gallon tank. The pump is currently 115v, it’s aprox 20’ of cable to the outlet. The tank is loosing pressure, the jet pump sounds terrible and it struggles. Here is what I want to set up:
I have seven fixtures= 7gpm
I want to increase to 3/4 hp
I am debating between Gould 3/4 or red lion 3/4
I want to remove the old tank and install cycles top system
I am debating running a 240v
Should I stay with 1/2hp or increase to 3/4hP?
Gould or red lion?
Is cycle stop good for my application?
Is going to 240v worth the extra cost and time?
