Wanting to use a CSV for an Irrigation Pump

So I pull irrigation water off of a canal near my house, which gives about 12-15 psi suction pressure to a 2 HP irrigation pump. I have an automatic sprinkler system I’m setting up with 5 stations. The estimated flow that we went with for the design is going to be 45 gpm at 50 psi per station. I will only be running one station at a time, so I’ll have timers set up where one station shuts off and the next one opens directly after hopefully this will still allow the pump to stay running between stations.  I have a little 5 gallon pressure tank and a 40 - 60 pressure switch, my question is which CSV should I go with ? Thanks for any help!

If the water is fairly clean a CSV12550-3 would work great.  But they can't handle much sediment or debris.  If the water has sand and debris,  you will need to use the CSV3B2T.  Big difference in price between these CSV's, but the CSV3B2T is a heavy duty valve than can take the abuse.

I think you are on the right track. As the OP said already if there no garbages (clear water) you can use it. CSV essentially do their job by raising back pressure to the pump. ... IMO, irrigation is perfectly suited for single speed operation.
