Need Help with CSV2W1.25T2575
« on: May 10, 2013, 05:02:43 PM »
I have a 3hp submersible that included a cyclestop valve when the well was drilled 10 years ago. This runs a half dozen sprinklers in the summer in addition to our domestic water. The well company installed the CSV underground, which seemed like a bad idea to me, and sure enough this winter there was a leak right where the CSV was, due to a poor glue joint, nothing to do with the CSV itself. I dug up the pipe, removed the CSV and repaired the line. So now it is irrigation season, and I needed to install a CSV again, and wanted to do it above ground. I bought a CSV2W. Due to the complex nature of the existing pipes in the area of the controller and pressure tank, it was easier for me to put the CSV just after the branch to the tank, so I relocated the pressure switch from the standard location next to the tank and placed it about 12" downstream of the CSV.

So now it is not working - the CSV is not interacting properly, and the pump is cycling just as rapidly as it was without the CSV. Is there any way I can get this to work without moving the CSV? If I back out much on the adjustment bolt, the pressure in the line upstream of the CSV goes high enough to blow the pressure safety valve. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks so much, Brook

Sorry Brook but the pressure tank, switch, pressure relief valve, and all water connections must be after the CSV.  Just need to get it to the right place and it will work.
