When the setting of a pressure switch is already messed up, I would reset it this way. Loosen the small adjustment screw all the way out or counter clockwise, until the spring is loose. Tighten the large adjustment screw all the way down or clockwise, until the rings in the spring are almost touching. Turn on the pump and allow the pressure to build to 60 or wherever you want the pump to shut off. Then loosen the big adjustment screw until the pump shuts off. This should get you fairly close.
