Low pressure on guage
« on: June 12, 2022, 03:21:41 PM »
I am running a 30/50 pressure switch and ordered the CSV preset for 40psi...when running water from the well, the pressure stays at about 34psi until the water is shut off then the pressure on the guage increases to just under 50psi.

Do I simply need to adjust the CSV?

It depends on how much water you were using when you only had 34 PSI.  If running a 3 GPM shower the pressure is low, then yes you can adjust the CSV to 40.  But you only need to be using about 3 GPM when making the adjustment.

I was running one water hose off the hose bib to a rotary type sprinkler. The hose bib is located a few inches downstream from the CSV and pressure switch.

I'll have to do a bucket test I guess to determine my flow rate.
