CSV1A Repair Kit

What are the symptoms that would indicate a CSV1A valve needs to be rebuilt using the repair kit? Also, what is the frequency of repairs that might be needed requiring this kit? I am trying to determine if it is worthwhile to have a repair kit on hand in case it is needed in the future.

If you have a high differential pressure pump like a 2HP, 10 GPM or you have a lot of sand/sediment the CSV1A may only last a year or three.  But with the average pump (less than 150 PSI) and clean water I would not expect to need a repair for that valve for 30 years.
