Pumps, Wells, Tanks, Controls / update with puzzling numbers...
« on: December 01, 2016, 04:04:39 PM »
got my CSV installed along with my 18-12 GPM zones/77 heads sprinkler system.
I run sprinklers for 4.5 hours each night. first month (Aug) they ran for 15 days.
they ran for 30 days the month of Sep. and the bill was $46 less than the month before.
they ran for 30 days the month of Oct. and the bill was $4 less than the month before.
they ran for 30 days the month of Nov. and the bill was $29 less than the month before.
anyone able to explain these numbers to me?

Pumps, Wells, Tanks, Controls / head pressure...
« on: July 21, 2016, 06:28:44 AM »
why is there so much head pressure behind the CSV?
I install my CSV yesterday and the pop off valve would blow at 55 lbs.(on tank gauge). I put a pressure gauge in it's place and it would peg the gauge at 100+ lbs.

Hi,new Guy here
I have a situation I,m trying to sort out.
will a CSV12550-1 work in my system?
well specs.
-4" well - 315' deep - pump set 280' - 230' to water - 1-1/4" drop pipe
pump specs.
-Jacuzz S418-14p - installed in 6/22/00
installing a 36 3GPM heads - 9 zone sprinkler system
I was told the 18GPM pump was set too deep but would work at a lower GPM w/44 gal. bladder tank.
checked out to be 13GPM at 300' of 1" PVC through an outside faucet. (through the house and my shop)
any advice?
